Who was better, Wade Boggs or Tony Gwynn? Why?

Tony Gwynn. He was an all around hitter who hit for high average and had possibly the greatest swing of any player that ever played.

I'd rather have Boggs - an excellent fielder at a more valuable position, and he got on base more often while hitting for comparable average and power. Gwynn's advantages in raw batting average and baserunning aren't quite enough to overcome Boggs' advantages.
