Can I upgrade/ change integrated graphics cards alone with CPUs in my laptop?

I have a laptop, it s a dell Inspiron with i7-5200u CPU which, I know is good but I plan to upgrade, along with Intel grpahics 5500 which is complete and utter trash compared to some gpus. I want to know since my GPU is integrated can i upgrade it?

No you CANNOT upgrade your intergrated graphics card, it is sauntered onto your laptop. In most cases with laptops 95% of them cannot be upgraded graphically. You will need to buy another PC/Laptop if you are look for better graphical options

If it is integrated into the mother board then you will need to change the MB (very expensive) but in the case of laptops it is normally looked on as a NO

You'd have to upgrade to a processor that has a better integrated gpu.

Since you're on a laptop, you most likely can't do that.

And did you mean i5 5200U? There doesn't appear to be an i7 with that name, only an i5.

Alright, ignore my answer. Apparently my answer is bad and I should feel bad according to my 3 downvotes.

Whenever you add a dedicated video card, it overrides the integrated (on board) graphics, unless otherwise specified in the BIOS.
