If you are strictly part-time, can an employer make you come in one hour early AND make you stay later than your original shift's end time?

I would like someone to define part time, is it below 30 hours?
This all depends what you agreed at the interview stage, but if your contract says otherwise, well yes you have to work over. It is cheaper for the employer to request extra hours from staff rather than employ a new person.

Yes, They actually can and they have to pay you more than what you get if you are doing more hours than the usual. But if you are doing like regular hours then you have the ability to come one hour early and leave and hour early then what time you usually leave unless you re being forced to come a specific time by your boss or employer.

Depends on your contract of employment. Most contracts will have some form of flexibility clause in in so they can change your hours if needs be for short periods of time.
Read your contract first to find out where you stand.
