Relationship break without talking to anyone else?

Question

My boyfriend and I have been having issues for the past few weeks, we can never compromise so he decided we need a break. His reason was he can't handle the stress of a relationship right now and doesn't believe he can give me the attention I want/deserve. I asked him if we would talk to other people during this "break" and he said no, I asked if I should move on or wait for him and he wants me to wait. I don't know how long this break will be or if it will end well. I need help with how long I should wait to contact him or if I should wait for him to contact me. Also I want to know if this is normal for guys.

i cant speak to whether a "break" to him actually is just a break or if that is his way of pushing you out of his life; only you know the situation that intimately. but, if you do decide that you are going to move on i hope you at least talk to him about it first.

move on now ---- a break is a break up ---- if you cant resolve your issues then you dont have a romantic relationship and being with someone you care for reduces stress not increases it ---- its not normal not for someone who likes you

Don't.  I did that once and the guy slept with another woman. It was to get by with doing it and so it wouldn't be called cheating. Don't wait for no man. Especially if you are young
