How to quote in this situation?
If the book you want to quote from has a quote from someone else. Do you quote both people or just the original author?
Also if the quote has two authors how would you quote it? Thank you.

You can do it one of several ways.
Probably the best is something like: In the book "The Day the Sun Flamed Out," John Jones says, "It will be a cold day in Hades before we're done here."
Then you provide the citation for the book.
Alternatively, if you need some context, you can write, "As described in 'The Day the Sun Flamed Out,' 'Jones looked up at the sky and said, "It will be a cold day in Hades before we're done here."' Then provide the appropriate citation or reference.
If the quote has two authors you just change "John Jones" to "John Jones and Bill Bradford."
Hope that helps.
