What are your thoughts on plentyoffish?

So I started using plentyoffish to try to find a girlfriend. I've talked to some people and had some nice conversations, but I don't know how to make the moves to get them to want to meet me in person. I don't know if I'm suppose to get to know them online first or what, but I feel like I'm going to fall in the friendzone with some of these women. Looking for a girlfriend/boyfriend isn't easy and I would like to know if you guys out there have ever succeeded at finding someone who's right for you on a dating site. Do dating sites actually work?

Dating sites do work. Hundreds of thousands (maybe millions, but I don't know) meet online.

There's a fine line between talking online too long vs asking someone out. My rule is to get to know someone for up to a week MAX before meeting in person. I feel like if you talk more than a week before meeting (assuming you live in the same town), it just means they're never going to meet you in person and it just fizzles out. Strike while the iron is hot!

Also, I find that I prefer people who are direct. Not necessarily blunt but at least direct. I hate games so if someone is going to play hard to get, I'm not interested. It's already difficult meeting someone period, that we don't need games to make reading words online even more cryptic.

So be genuine, honest and be sincere about actually meeting in person and getting to know someone.

Also, it's not uncommon to meet several people before finding someone you actually click with and want to date exclusively.

Plenty of fish is my go-to for poosy.  I've gotten more tail off PoF than any other website...any three websites.

I don't know why you're having such a hard time.
