Are Americans actually taking Donald Trump Seriously??

Well, he's certainly got the "Bat---- Crazy" vote sewn up. But that's all the support he's ever going to get.

The rest of the Republican primary electorate is split up between a dozen or so more mainstream candidates. As they start dropping out, their supporters will move to other mainstream candidates. But no mainstream candidate supporter will accept Trump as an alternative.

Trump is a pop culture media darling. With about as much chance of becoming President as Kim K.

A lot of them are.

He is the incarnation of a very ugly culture that has arisen, especially, since the 1980s.

He represents the thoughts of Ayn Rand, the tyranny of positive thinking, the worship of the rich, white supremacy, and many other toxic undercurrents in American culture and he has galvanized all these misfits together.

He is a joke that should be taken seriously, because there are enough of them and our idiocracy is profound enough at this point that this could be a reality.

Trump is only there to spew the hate that the republicans feel..... and then later JEB will look "reasonable" and "middle of the road". It's really JEB who's stolen enough money (Silverado) and gets enough free Billionaire CASH to outspend everybody else.......... but first he has to have the appearance of a "reasonable" guy.

And I'd imagine that this is Trump's actual function at this point. We're watching some standard crooked republican political theater.

It will mature into a full fecal storm as we get closer to the election.
