I want to be a cop but there might be a few things holding me back?
I'm 16 years old and I've always liked the idea of joining law enforcement. But I also love smoking weed. Not often at all, but I do it occasionally. NOT for medical reasons, it's just really fun. I've also been arrested twice, once just yesterday (simple trespassing)and once more than a year ago (breach of peace II) do I still have a chance at becoming a police officer or something of the sort? Or should I start looking into other things?

Getting police officer jobs is becoming more and more competitive. When police departments are hiring, they usually have many qualified applicants for a relatively small number of openings. Departments usually have the luxury of being able to be very selective about who they hire. However, it is possible that you could become a police officer someday. However, you should start doing whatever you can so that you are the best candidate that you can be when you are eligible to apply. See http://www.peaceofficerjobs.com/

Yes you can. Ideally, you will not be interviewing/ going to the academy until age 21. If you stop smokim weed now, you can say that you made some mistakes in your past but you have matured. They like applicants that have a slight past and are honest about it. Make sure you stop smoking now though.

You hardly seem an ideal contender to enforce the law since you seem to break it with impunity. Maybe you should either reform or look elsewhere?
