There was a bald eagle crossing the Atlantic and landing in Ireland in November 1987...?

Update:

How long might it have taken him to make that voyage?

Not a question, but yes, there was.

"It has occurred as a vagrant twice in Ireland; a juvenile was shot illegally in Fermanagh on January 11, 1973 (misidentified at first as a white-tailed eagle), and an exhausted juvenile was captured in Kerry on November 15, 1987.[27]"

It could happen in a week or two I would think. It would have to be following some strong winds from some storm. The jet stream goes fast enough that it could be much quicker like maybe a couple of days but I doubt they normally every fly that high.
