my body butter (cream) has gone dry in its tub, what should I do to revive it? use almond oil in it and microwave it?

    This isn't really the right spot for a question about body butter. You could try what you suggested. It sounds like it might work. My inclination would be to first try adding a few drops of water and sealing the jar back up, giving the water time to soften the cream up before trying to use it again.

    Unknown Chef gave a great answer, especially the point about microwaving it still in its original container. Don't do that. Some plastic tubs melt in microwaves. I thought about coconut oil too, but coconut oil is solid at room temperature so if you use that, you will have to melt it.

    No, place it in some warm water, not hot, if it is in a plastic container be very careful, glass to as it can shatter, my friends wife runs a vegan cafe/bakery and food store, she has a girl who make cosmetics with only non animal based ingredients, maybe try the almond oi and a bit of refined coconut oil, melt them and the remaining product you have and allow them to set.
