How do you vote 'best answer' now?

Yahoo have made a lot of changes..... and despite a considerable backlash against the removal of certain things such as Community voting, have ploughed on regardless.

So with regards to voting, unfortunately that's gone now and the only way a Best Answer is awarded is if the asker decides to do so (and there is no time limit).

Other changes (some related) apart from the obvious format change:

-> Unanswered questions are deleted after 7 days now instead of 4

-> Dates have been removed from questions (date is only in the URL)

-> You cannot delete a question once it has been answered

-> Question statuses are removed - there is no Open, in-Voting or Resolved

-> You can answer a question at any time even if it has a Best Answer (although you don't get any points for doing so if you answer one with a BA)

-> You can now comment on every answer, but not the question anymore

-> You can make questions/answers "Anonymous" so that others can't see who asked/answers and it doesn't appear on your account to anyone apart from you

-> You can't change your name or avatar any longer (that was meant to be temporary but it's been since last year already)

-> You can't see the asker's name on a question unless you hover over it

-> You can't see the asker's name in the category overview per question

-> The "blocked" symbol has been removed so you can't see who you've blocked

.... and many many more. Those are just the ones that came to mind quickly

Yahoo has discontinued community voting, now only the asker can choose the BA though most don't.

They have changed the rules. Now the person asking the question is the only one to vote on a best answer. What you will find it that the vast majority of people asking question never choose a best answer.
