No sound from TV when hooked up to a Blu-Ray upconverter. New HDMI cable?

Previously functional Blu-Ray upconverter. Sony TV has sound. All of a sudden no sound when we used Blu-Ray. We replaced the HDMI cable. Still no sound. Then we replaced the Blue Ray to a Sony. Still no sound. HELP!!

Try going to the setting of the BLUE Ray player and see where the sound is going out too. It might be SURROUND Sound or external, you want it to HDMI/TV See if that solves the issue.

Read your instruction manual for correct installation to a TV. Read your TV manual for correct settings required to access your blue ray player.

In order to be able to answer your question, we need to know the makes and models of each piece of releant equipment, and how they are connected to each other.

WTF is a 'BluRay upconverter' ? While BluRay players do upconvert the signals from playing DVDs, there's no need to upconvert BluRay signals.

    Literacy matters, too.

look at the instruction manuals for all of the devices - that's why manuals are included !!
