If a valve on my bike tire is loose how often does a tire go flat?
today my bike ended up with a flat the tire and tube are ok my friend told me the valve might be loose and if it is idk how often a tire goes flat if its loose
and also this is the first time this has happened to me while i was not home
my brother checked the tube and tire and they are fine he didn't hear any leaks or anything

You can't tell that a tire has a leak just by listening to the air escaping most of the time it is so slow you cant hear it. 99% of the time a flat tire will have a hole in the tube.

Test it before you monkey with the valve. Take out the tube, and put in enough air to make the tube rigid. Then put it in a tub of water. It should be easy to see where the leak is, by following the trail of bubbles.

If it is a Presta valve you are going to have to get a new tube. The valves do break sometimes.
