Question about Brain Tumors?
I know I just posted something like this, but I am PANICKING BEYOND BELIEF. I got headaches from lifting weights (not breathing during it) and a few days later I went to the ER for headaches and dizziness. Bottom line is I had a CT scan, which I was told by 2 doctors was completely normal. I am beyond panicked that it just....missed something. They both said I can follow up with my doctor if I really want to, but they said anything major was very unlikely. How can they claim that without an MRI? Please help me I'm almost puking I'm so scared it missed a brain tumor.

In one question you are stating that the Dr at the ER told you it was an exertion headache and you should follow up with your regular Dr. In that question you were querying if you should bother following up.
Now you are panicking and questioning if you should have further testing for something that has not even been raised as a suspicion.
Please see a therapist for your irrational anxiety.

You're getting headaches and dizziness because you are holding your breath while lifting weights--not because you have a brain tumor. Give it a rest and learn how to breathe properly. A CT scan does image for tumors. You don't need an MRI unless you really want to shell out the bucks for it. It is highly unlikely that your insurance will cover it if you've had a CT scan that 2 docs have said are normal. Most people who land in the emergency room and get imaging tests thinking they have "brain tumors" are normal and the hosp just gets to use their fancy imaging machines and bill the pt to pay for the contraptions (How do I know--I am a medical editor). The docs were right to tell you to go to your doctor for a full physical if you are concerned that something is wrong.

You can always ask for them to do it again or get a second opinion from another place. I dont think you would get a brain tumor from lifting weights and it comes on gradually. The best think to do is RELAX it will all be ok. It could be something like a muscle
