Sims 3 or Sims 4?

I currently have Sims 3 but I am debating on getting Sims 4. My best friend used to have Sims 3 so we would always talk about it but now that she got Sims 4, I feel like we don't talk about Sims as often anymore. She is always telling me that I should just get Sims 4. Personally, I tried Sims 4 when I went to her house but I liked it the same. What should I do?

Personally, I would get The Sims 3 as it had much better ratings than 4. But seriously don't bother looking at popular YouTubers who play the game like PewDiePie for example. He admitted during a stream that he hated the game and only played it 'cos he was paid to by sponsorship. The Sims 4 is ruined, plus, The Sims 3 has awesome expansion packs like Island Paradise, Season and many, many other stuff packs and expansion packs.

Sims 4 is good but it's not a big change compared to sims 1 to 2 and 2 to 3. In some ways it's gotten worse the world isn't completely open anymore and the lots aren't as good but you can travel to every world in sims 4. They take ages to do anything on sims 4 like 3 sim hours for a shower which is very annoying, but I heard they changed how they do the graphics and the game is so smooth compared to 3 and hasn't crashed yet sims 3 would crash randomly so I'd have to save every half hour. The emotions are good to makes the sims more realistic and relationships are harder, but all in all I'd say save your money for now the expansion packs might be better but I don't think I'll buy another series of sims expansion packs.
