want a pan that use on stovetop andcan go in oven but without the long handle just the two helper handles. what is this type of pan called?

Update:

i shuld have ben more specific. i want it for frying and also to pop in oven. like a frittata or paella pan but deeper

    If I understand your question correctly,I believe you must be thinking of a "sauteuse" pan.Its' a deep pan with short handles on the side-similarly,there is a "braiser" pan but it isn't quite as deep (usually).Both come in various sizes (qts).But I'm pretty certain the "sauteuse" pan is the one your looking for.

    It's called a Dutch Oven.

    It is a Dutch oven or a stew or soup pot. Some braisers also only have the two short handles. Most sets of pots come a Dutch Oven or Stew pot.
