They aren't that bad. I mean any tattoo is going to hurt. You can always go to your local pharmacy like Walgreens and get this stuff called bactine. They can put that on your tattoo once they are done tattooing the outline and it will numb you. The stuff is only like 5 bucks too. I have 30 tattoos.

It just depends on where you get it. Some places will hurt more then other places. Anything near bone will hurt more then just the skin.
