Why are laws passed to stop men from doing what is natural to them?
It's in a man's nature to protect and provide for his family. If a man derespect his woman, he fights for her honor. If a man or animal harms his daughter, he kills the man or the animal. Yet the law is against them when they do what is natural to them.

Yeaaaah. This was the attitude and law a couple thousand years ago.
Modern laws can have "natural law theory" at their core. But we've developed this thing called civilization in recent decades/centuries. We get a little more "reasonable" than just doing what's "natural." You can go look up the Renaissance and all that for starters.

This isn't the stone age anymore, buddy. We have ways of dealing with problems other than going around killing people now.
Yes, I consider it my job to look out for my family. This doesn't involve starting fights or killing people, and I don't consider either of those things particularly natural. If you consider killing to be a natural or normal thing to do, I suggest you seek help.

Honestly - I'll dump any man that tries to "defend my honor." Why? Because he looks like a complete *** and I can do it myself with humor, grace and dignity - without resorting to violence. I've almost gotten killed because some whackjob boyfriend thought he had to defend my honor. I've been thrown out of places because whackjob was trying to defend my honor. I've also taught my kids how to defend themselves with humor, grace and dignity.
No thanks.
