Will Classmates.com charge me?
Hi there!
On classmates.com, is it possible for the site to charge me even when I have a free account (didn't pay for membership)? I haven't given my credit card info though they only have my email address. I'm nervous since I've been reading that the site charges people.
Any help is appreciated. :)
Thanks everybody. I was worried because somehow I signed up for an account (only gave an email address) and I was supposed to receive an email with a password shortly after. Unfortunately, I never did and when I used the "forgot my password" option and type in my full name along with an email, it appears to have no record of my name or email address so I'm thinking it never made an account. I only got an email with like ways to connect with other people. Anybody know why?
Thanks again!

When they don't have your credit card number, they won't charge you. To be sure though, unsubscribe from their group. The people who were charged gave their credit card number.
This happened to me three years ago, I gave my name and address but not my bank account number and credit card. Til this day, I have not received any notification I owe any company any money but of course, I unsubscribed only after a week.

No, if you didn't give them your paypal account or your credit card details, they cannot charge you. Unless they full on hack your computer and steal your details (which they won't), they will not charge you for a thing.

if they do just call them and ask for a refund. Typically, most websites won't but some will include some sneaky fee with your service that you didn't ask for.
