How do you prepare a wet/muddy pony for exercise?
It's for my C+ test

I don't know what context you have to answer this question (like are you writing the answer down on a test, or are you afraid that your pony will be wet and muddy when you go ride for your test?).
But if it were me and I went out to get my horse and he was wet and muddy, I'd probably hose him off. If he's already wet, it won't matter if I get him wet again. And it'll get the mud off faster and more effectively than brushing.
I wouldn't use brushes on a horse that had wet mud...it just smears it deeper and doesn't remove it. If the mud was dry, I'd use a currycomb if I didn't have the option of getting him wet (but rinsing him off would still be easier, if being wet was okay).
Fortunately my horse now is a show horse that is kept in a barn 95% of the time and only goes out when it's totally dry, so that's never an issue. He's always clean. But my last horse was a pinto (think: stains!) that lived outside 24/7 and LOVED mud. Riding him required a lot of prep, ha.

For a test, I imagine the answer is groom with curry comb and dandy brush. In real life I rinse or wash said muddy pony.
