should I text my ex girlfriend?
Me and my former girlfriend dated for a year in a half. She was the best girlfriend I've ever had. She made me really happy and I loved every thing about her. We began to fight a lot and weren't comunacating about our problems. The day before Valentine's Day of this year we got in a huge argument and later that night she broke up with me.
She told me she wanted me to be in her life. So we remain friends. It's gone to talking a lot after our break up to barely talking all. It's August so it's been awhile sense February. I've not talk to her in about a week in a half cause we were talking about our relationship last time we talked. I can truly say I loved her and mean when I say it. When ever I'm around her it feels right. We were very close when we dated. But the last time we talked she said I think we need to date other people. This hurt really bad cause Im not over her and I can't see my self with another women. Well I stop texting her and I've actually felt a lot better now then I've in MONTHS! The other day someone told me she was depressed and I needed to talk to her. should I text her?

Sometimes people are like rubber bands. You pull them apart, but they snap back together. It's good that you took time off from talking to her. Helps give both of you some perspective. If she's really in trouble and you want to help, then I'd say it's a good time to re-enter her life, but as a friend. Be there for her if you really care about her. Then, who knows what the future will bring.
And like another poster suggested. Speak to her in person if you can, rather than texting. You need to see each other's eyes.

No. No texting. EVER. Texting is destructive and downright deadly. PEOPLE DIE from the distraction it creates. It never conveys emotions and is AWFUL for intimate relationships.
If you wish to resume communication with this female...that is up to you. You can do it FACE to FACE (best)...or call her on the phone. NO TEXTS. (facetime, if you have it...is ok)
