It is better to pray with your heart, mouth and folded hands. But I suppose prayer is prayer, even with painted toenails.

Salam If the painted toenails would prevent the water of wudhu touching her original nails it must be erased before wudu because it can make her wudhu invalid. If the wudu invalid, her prayer will be invalid too.It is better if she prays without the painted toenails in khusyu situation.

Peace,
Yes of course it's fine :) Allah never said in the Quran that you must wash toenails for wudu. He never forbids nail polish..if we want to follow the prophet then all he had to follow was the Quran:
"I only follow what is revealed to me (Quran)." 46:9
"It (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the universe. Had he (Muhammad) uttered any other teachings, We would have grabbed him by the right, and We would have severed his Wateen (Major artery of the heart), none of you could have helped him." 69:43-47

Is that a barrier? Are toes the antennas of the soul? If so, I'd just recommend avoiding any of the metallic nail polishes.

Well, nail polish acts as a barrier and prevents water reaching your nails, and if you make wudaa with nails polished then your wudaa is invalid.

It is said that the paint prevents water from reaching the skin so the wudu is not valid.. and Allah knows best..
