How do you make your car worth more when its destroyed in gta 5 online?

I destroyed a guys car and they charged me $25,000 I had the same car and people only get charged $7,000. I have all the improvements but still doesn't change insurance price people pay. only thing I can think of is to do the improvements on the car before I buy the insurance. if anybody know any other way let me know

Could be that the person who destroyed your car had little or no money in their bank. Then they only get charged what they can afford (if any). So say you get charged 25k for destroying your own car, player B then comes along and blows same car sky high. They only have 7k in their bank. That is all they get charged .

However upgrades may affect it too. While two people can have the same car they may not have the exact same mods on it. You could have the first level spoiler and your friend has the big GT spoiler. This type of thing could affect insurance (although I am only guessing, but I am sure some of my friends pay different insurance on the same cars, although the difference isn't too drastic)..

this shouldn't be taken seriously at all, It's just a video game just give yourself a second and calm down. You don't have to play with the people who are killing you, and you are not "stuck" in your apartment. as far as I'm concerned, any person who dislikes you is not a friend, if anything separate yourself from whoever is making you upset.
