Not all of them do. Breeds like the Hampshire, Yorkshire, Tamworth, and Hereford all have erect ears. Landrace, Poland China, Chester, Duroc, and Spotted Poland China have long ears. Long ears protect the pig's eyes from dirt and damage while rooting for food.

Because pigs have long floppy ears they can't move them out of their eyes like a human can with their hair.. Not all pigs ears cover their eyes my pigs ears r back more
