Will upgrading to windows 10 resolve my BSOD problem I've been having since the last few months?

I'm using windows 7 home edition on an Asus N55sl laptop. For the past 6 months or so I keep getting BSOD. It mostly happens when I'm running multimedia like youtube, VLC player or sometimes even skype calls.

I have a windows 10 upgrade pending, do you think if I upgrade to windows 10 it will automatically solve the BSOD problem??

Since you do not know why the BSOD is occurring there would be no way of knowing. I would not do a standard update, I would back up your files and do a clean install. At least this way if you have any corrupted files they will be deleted before the update is installed.

It is dangerous to try to upgrade from a damaged system as it is likely to trash the new install and you end up with nothing. Ehy have you not gad the problem fix3d?

It may fix it but maybe not. Nobody can answer that because it totally depends on why you get the blue screen. Just upgrade and you will see.
