I want to force quit windows update program but it will not let me. I am not currently updating anything but i do not want windows 10?

Interrupting Windows updates (especially while updating to a different Windows version) can be deadly to Windows.

But if you hold down the power button for more than 5 seconds, or unplug power from it, and/or remove its battery if a laptop, you discover it does not boot, and you forgot to create (or lost) the utility/recovery CD/DVD's that you should have created when you bought your system, you could always use another computer to download Linux and install that.

I mostly run Linux at home for much quicker boot and not being subject to Windows viruses, worms, trojans, adware, malware, or other exploits. And now that there is Steam for Linux (and Steam developing their own Linux based OS) there are plenty of Linux games that do not require Windows. And Google Chrome can do Netflix in Linux (Firefox and flash can do Hulu, etc.). PS: Nvidia graphics and drivers work best with Linux Steam at this time.
