When a player is traded in mlb what happens to the players house or condo?

Just wondering would a team help them break their lease or offset the cost of the loan. Like an example would be Dustin ackley was traded from the Mariners to the Yankees would the Mariners be on the hook to pay his rent or help him sell his house. Just one of those behind the senses things.

This is covered in Article VIII of the CBA.

When a player is traded during the season, he is immediately advanced $850 and $1450 by his old team to cover immediate relocation expenses. He then has up to 2 years to submit a claim for reimbursement from his new team of full relocation cost for him and his family. Rent paid in his old city between the date of the trade and the end of the season can be included in this claim for expenses.
