    The fight itself, Corrales vs Castillo would emerge as best. Here's why;

    In the 10th round, JLC dropped Chico twice. The first KD, Chico got up but spit the mouthpiece in purpose for that extra seconds. You see he's got savvy. The second KD, Corrales again spit the mouthpiece and this time he doubled the purpose -for the extra count and for the time the third man would deduct him points. Diego was asking for that deduction that time believe me. It would be 10 -6 round courtesy of the 2 KDs and the deduction. But Corrales was well aware of it. He was aware too that he needed to knock Castillo's head off cuz there's no way in hell he's gonna win the fight. Now comes the best part, when Castillo was about to finish off Diego (a 3rd KD would have been too much and there's a likelihood of a referee stoppage) Corrales caught Jose Luis with a right straight followed by a left uppercut. Right again which is Chico's powerpunch and then the left hook. He went for the kill and chances are good he might have put JLC in coma had the fight not been stopped. It's lights out. Jose Luis was put to sleep about 2 seconds. The fight scene was too good even for a Hollywood movie and God bless me it happened in my time. You can hear on the background Col Bob Sheridon exclaiming "MAN, HAVE WE JUST SEEN THE GREATEST FIGHT IN BOXING??!!" i must say AMEN!

    thought the Ward Gatti series was highly overrated....

    As far as single fight goes, I am a big fan of Felix Trinindad vs Fernando Vargas

    as for best series, I would say either Erik Morales vs Marco Bareera, or as you mentioned Vazquez and Marquez (I was present at their 4th fight)

    Corrales and Castillo fought 2 barnburners, and both fighters got KOd...they really should have settled once and for all
