break up or long distance relationship?

I feel like I need advice on how to get through this particular situation. I have been through breakups before and while they aren't easy I have always gotten through them on my own. But right now I am completely lost. I recently started dating (about 2 months ago) a guy that I have being seeing for about 4 months and friends with for about 8. I know this is a short time but our connection has been strong from the beginning, well that's how I feel anyway. We were both looking forward to our future together as we were both happy with the relationship so far. About a week ago he was offered a scholarship out of the country. Of course I want him to take it and don't resent him for going at all. We are both struggling as to how to handle our current relationship situation. We have broken up (took it off fb lol) but still communicate as if nothing has changed. He leaves in 2 days and I really want to have things figured out before then. Advice on what to do or how to handle things would be appreciated and I thank you in advance × a million!
