Is he flirting with me? Does he like me?

So there's this guy that I've known for a year we were in gr 12 English together and today we hung out from like 5-9 all we did was walk and talk and I couldn't tell if he was flirting cause if we were talking about something that he could think of as sexual or something since he's a guy is that just normal or was he trying to flirt or say something it wasn't like in your face sex this sex that but like if it was related to sex or kissing or something then he would think that way and be like oh ok that's uh not a good thing to be thinking about like we were talking about tanning and he was talking about taking his shirt off so he could tan and I was like ok I'll join you and he took it like I was gonna take my shirt off please tell me what it means he also walked me home but didn't hug me or anything but its still new in our friendship I do like him he's super nice and sweet
