Could you survive without electricity, utilities, computers and live like the cave men did before anything was invented?

I have never lived like a cave man. But it certainly had felt like that when I grew up compared to all the ordinary kids at school during the first decade in my life. I grew up in a less fortunate family environment. My family had lived in a small room, sometimes, without power too. We never had all those basic electrical household either. They were luxuries to me. I don't recall having any toys, school text books, television set, or even a small radio until I was 12 years or older. I never had a landline phone till I became an adult and started working.

I don't consider myself to be a wealthy person but I am much better off today with all the tech gadgets that are available at a reasonable cost. We take a lot for granted with the things that are readily available today.

Cave men used a lot of inventions to make life more comfortable. Modern humans have managed, still do in a few places, without any of the inventions you mentioned. Without modern agriculture, though, most of humanity would starve to death.

Like a caveman? Sort of. I'd need a couple tools, because I have no idea how to make a knife from scratch. An axe and machete along with sharpener would be nice too. I think I could create a bow and also arrows, but it would be terribly nice to have them beforehand.

Of course. I think most people would find it less excruciating than what they imagine it to be. It would just take some learning and some getting used to. Some people might not be able to do that, but if forced, most could. The lives of some people literally depend on modern accoutrements, so they would be lost.

If I was born in a world where they did not exist then yes. If they all suddenly disappeared, I would still think so as long as whatever present natural resources still exist. Survival is very basic. I may not be happy but I would still be able to keep myself alive.

I'd probably poison myself trying to find something to eat, or be killed by wolves, but if I survived that I could probably invent the hand axe and go from there.

If Russia hits us with the EMP, this is how the survivors will have to live. Just like in the old days, the days of the old testament in the Bible, caveman days. Live off the land, grow your own vegetables/fruit, kill your meat etc.

I have been camping and I am a long time gardener. I would dread living like that but I could survive.

I've lived in squats and on traveller sites where we didn't have any of the usual utilities, and we got by just fine.

well for survival the only things you NEED are sunlight, food, and water. so yea, however it would be easier if this cave man style of living was the only thing you knew
