Does att next really save more than 2-year commitment?

Update:

Take LG g3 for example. Suppose the monthly fee is $20. (in reality it is probably more than that, around $25). With att next, you get $15 discount monthly for a plan with less than 10 gb of data, meaning you pay $25 instead of $40 for having att smart phone.

So over 24 months, your total comes to (25+20)*24=1080 (att next 24).

If you go with 2-year contract. G3 costs $0 with contract. You don't get the $15 discount for two years.

So your total comes to 40*24=960 (att 2 year contract)
