Why do many people dislike the baseball Cardinals' motto, 'The Cardinal Way'?

Do Cardinal fans dislike it, or other teams fans. I can say as a fan of another MLB team, I do not dislike the motto, or what it stands for. I think a lot of it may come from jealousy. St Louis, continues to win and be productive by doing it the right way. Don't overpay on free agents, draft and develop your own talent well, keep the players that you need to win. Think about it, the Cardinals lost one of the best hitters of his generation in Albert, but continued to win regardless.

Because of the way the cards fans rub it on everyone's face whenever possible. Same thing with the "best fans" thing. It's not so much what the moto stands for or the team itself, it's the fans.

Its just another way for the fine people in STL to stick it to opposing fans, something you are know for, even more than Philadelphia.
