Amazon card authorization?
I want to buy an iPhone off of amazon for my niece's birthday. I want to ship it directly to her house so that it'll be a surprise, she's been wanting one for forever, but she's a college student and she can't really afford one. Anyway, I ordered this two weeks ago along with a case, and I get a message today saying that the bank declined the payment because of zip code or something. She goes to college out of state so that could be why, though I billed it to my address. I don't want to get it shipped here and then ship it to her, so how can I get my bank (chase) to authorize my payment?

Did you put in your own zip code correctly? I have used Amazon to ship gifts directly to my granddaughter in another state and had no problem. Check the billing info you put on your Amazon order. It's easy to transpose numbers when inputting info.

It's not that. Your bank is declining the payment. We can always buy from one state and send it as Gift or normally to another state without any issue. May be, you've mentioned your ZIP wrong which doesn't match with the ZIP with your bank account. Although, it isn't an issue as I've given my address and used my mother's card (different state) many times. Call Amazon or Chase and sort it out.

The shipping address can be anything you want. I ship Amazon to other addresses so that is not the issue. " zip code or something" you need to ask them why us????
