How to tell my mom that I masturbate?
I am a 14 year GIRL, NOTE THAT I AM A GIRL. I am in high school and I currently and rarely watch porn and masturbate (I do it with shower water..I'm pretty sure its clean). I want to tell my mom that I've masturbated. I don't do it often, its pretty rare. But I always get this inevitable urge that won't go away unless I do it. I really hate it and I really try my best to stop. I really need some reassuring that masturbation isn't bad. I have read that its really common for people to do this, but all the stories I've read had been from a guy and not a girl like me. So I'd like some girl advice, but guys you can help too.
Thanks :))
I have also read that water masturbation is safe, but I still worry about it from time to time.
@JJ Thanks for all that, it really calmed me down. I just feel very guilty about it, that's why I feel like I should tell her. But I Guess it's something that doesn't really bother me as much as it used to.

Why do you want to tell your mom that you masturbate?
The vast majority of people masturbate, chances are your mom is already aware that you likely masturbate, but in general it's not something she needs to know - masturbation is a personal thing you do for yourself, it's not something you need to tell parents about. If you really want to tell her I suppose just say 'mom, I masturbate' but I can't imagine any situation where anyone would want to tell their parents or why you would want to tell your parents so not sure where you want this conversation with her to go.
I'm not sure why you hate it or try to stop, masturbation isn't bad at all - it's one of the most normal natural, and healthy things that a person can do - masturbation is a really important part of your sexuality and sexual health with many benefits. I'll add the benefits I've just listed on another answer...
It helps you learn about your body so you know what's normal for you, thus can spot problems with your health easier. Improved body-literacy can greatly improve understanding of how your body works and overall body acceptance which has a host of benefits for mental health as well as physical health.
It helps you learn about sexual response and sexuality so that if/when you become sexually active with a partner you can better communicate to them what you enjoy sexually - for women this is especially important as when aroused the vagina changes to allow penetration without pain or damage, also increases pleasure during sex. Masturbation during sex will also increase pleasure for both partners.
It helps put you in control of your own sexuality - research shows time and time again that young people who engage in masturbation are less likely to engage in high risk sexual behaviour such as under-age sex and unprotected sex. In short, if you're getting yourself off then you're not as likely to need to look for someone else to get you off or make unwise decisions in the heat of the moment.
It helps you relax and is pleasurable, thus it helps with issues like depression, anxiety, sleeping problems, and even eases tension headaches. It also helps women with menstrual cramps and inducing late menstruation so makes menstruation easier too. Pleasure and relaxation improves overall health.
