Because a lot of people are transphobic. And unfortunately. A lot of people these days do not accept people that are transgendered. They're afraid of rejection and getting hurt is what it boils down to.

It's not being afraid of love, it's about not being properly equipped for it during transition. Remember that Caitlyn is in transition right how; her life is in the middle of upheaval. The last thing a trans person in transition needs is that kind of complication on top of all the other complications.
If she's not ready to date, that's her business, not anyone else's.

New bodies take getting used to. And celebs are always wary that others just want in on their fame more than caring about the person.

They aren't afraid to love, they are afraid to come forward to potential partners for fear of not being accepted.
