what is the difference between dental gold and normal gold. where can I can I buy it?
let's say I make a gold cap from normal gold will it be any different from me making it out of dental gold. where could I buy dental gold

It's important in dental gold to not have impurities present that can leach out and harm your body. It also must be of a certain hardness to retain its shape. Typically it's around 16 karats, but can range from 10-20 karats. So if you were using 20 karat gold for example, the metals it combines with to make the alloy would have to be much harder than if you were using 10 karat gold.
Even if you did obtain the correct gold it would still have to be shaped to fit the tooth. It's not the sort of thing you would make yourself. Dentistry is a specialised field so it's better to leave that to the experts.
