They're actually fairly well-educated, except for the smallest children. Most of them do have valuable job skills, and a good many speak several languages, including English, German, French, Dutch - which means, once they get settled, they can turn out to be valuable citizens. Very few of them are felons and thieves. I know that's not what you wanted to hear, but you're going to have to deal with it!
