Puppy prices in 1978?

yup and gas was 75 cents bread was a dollar and you could get a burger fries and a drink and get change from your dollar ........so whats your point ......ceo made way to much then and they still do today ... 27 grocery stores worth of employees are going to loose there jobs in the next few months because some high payed ceos thought it was a good idea to charge a third more for food then any other market in southern ca...... they right it off as a lose .and make money on the deal ...... while hundreds of people are unemployed .....

Don't know about a pug but my mom paid $250 for an AKC German Shepherd in 1962.

Most registered show quality dogs (at least the smaller ones) went for around $150-300.

Probably $75-$200. Maybe a little more for show quality.
