Does extreme tiredness caused from taking Cymbalta go away with time? I have been prescribed Cymbalta for depression and fibromyalgia.?

Update:

I was prescribed Cymbalta 30 mg for depression and fibromyalgia, and have been taking it for 4 weeks. It seems to be helping me for the depression and Fibro.

HOWEVER, I am extremely tired, sleepy, foggy, lethargic and have some weakness. Has anyone had the same experience, and did these side effects go away?

Thank you for taking the time to answer. I have had fibro for 20 years and have been on various other antidepressants which would work for long periods of time, and then would stop being effective, so I would be switched to another. But I have never felt this tired before. So like you said, maybe the Cymbalta just exacerbates this symptom. May I ask what you take now for fibro and/or depression. (I really don't know why you were taking Cymbalta). Thanks.

That's exactly how I felt on Cymbalta and why I quit taking it. It's not the best choice for everyone, and unfortunately it does not get better with time. The side effects you mentioned are all symptoms of Fibromyalgia, and it sounds like your symptoms are just exacerbated by the Cymbalta.
