Revenge in Islam?

Does Islam tell us to take revenge against those who caused us harm? Should we take revenge? Isn't there a verse in the quran that tell us to?

Revenge is full of anger and hatred. This is not a good place to come from if you want to be a good human being. If Islam calls for revenge, this should be a sign that Islam is neither a good religion nor a religion of peace.

Tooth for tooth, eye for eye is an old Eastern tradition practiced by both Jews and Arabs.. Of course, Mohammad injected it within Islam.

Just forgive. The best revenge you can give to anyone who caused u harm is being happy.

Unless someone did something illegal then report them.

if Allah can forgive and offer mercy, why cant we?.... that person you seek revenge on, might come around to islam if you offer forgiveness and mercy and show them the true way to live on this earth

I think if this was true :p I'd have many Muslims trying to hurt me. The Muslims in my life though are so forgiving and cool though.

Salam No based on hadith we Muslims are not allowed to take revenge against others who made bad deed or harm things to us We must answer bad deed with good deed Forgiving others is better than taking a revenge...We must give advice to them that harming others is haram, even if we could not do that, we make dua to Allah so they will change their bad attitude Based on the Qur'an we must treat others equally and fairly.in line with qisas. You must try if you have the power to avoid them to make bad deed by your own hand..If you have no power, you must give advice. If you could not give advice, you can make dua the least effort.
