Can you figure out a way to save or make an additional $10 a day, every day? That may be all you need.

Talk to your daughters. They may be ready to get out, too, or they may want to stay with their friends.

Start researching places in California. There's a great book at the library, called something like "Places Rated Almanac." That will tell you what different places are like to live in, in terms of how affordable they are and whether there are jobs.

Start studying for a new career that pays better. Get a book called "What Color Is Your Parachute?" Start looking at things you're good at and how much they pay and how many jobs there are in that career. So, for example, being a dental hygienist may pay well, but if there are too many of them, it will be hard to find a job in it.

You can ask on Yahoo about different cities in California and how much housing costs and what it's like to live there. You can also ask a question about how to save $10 a day, or how to make $10 a day more. You can ask how much a 2-bedroom apartment will cost in a decent neighborhood, too (your eldest may go to college by then).

Get a library card and spend some years learning and reading about reality of living in California.

If u can't make a good life where u at now, homeless shelter will be housing for u in Ca.

In USA visit BLS.gov/OOH for actual info on careers and jobs actually in demand and pay good money.

Visit local pay scale sites for Demand and pay locally.

Visit libraries for books on careers and jobs u may enjoy doing for 10 - 15 yrs.

Take daughters also so they can learn about careers jobs life money debts etcetera.

Contact local community colleges for programs leading to employment and good paying income locally.

Many programs done in under two years easily.

Many programs paying 35k - 60000$ First year working easily.

Library needs to be ur home next yr or two.

Better find a "Sugar Daddy". With 3 teenage girls that need stuff and you are responsible for everything? Make the girls do some kind of work and get paid. You work as much as you can and save every dime possbile. Things have a way of changing as time goes on. Find a state where there is plenty of water and work, Calif is not the one.

news flash - lots of California is not exactly the best place to live unless you have enough $$ to live in an upper class neighborhood.........I am a CA native and have lived in many areas of the State, and sadly, lots of areas are going downhill...........we are thinking of moving out of CA.........but to help with your Q: the 16 year old may be able to find PT work where you live ; you may need to get a 2nd job, or a new one that pays more ( sites online to look at: indeed, edjoin, careerbuilder, your State and Cities job boards ) ; and save every dime that you can..................you may want to look at some of the Cities in CA to get an idea of the cost of rentals ( zillow and realtor.com ) as well as crime maps ( crimemapping.com ).............I hope you all can do well ;]

go to school for two years, or go to s technical school for 1 year and get training for something better
