Job Problem?

So I got hired at Giant last week and started thins past Tuesday. The job is alright people are nice. The pay isn't great, but that's not the main problem it's that I unexpectedly got a Interview at Apple federal Credit Union where the pays would be almost double my current pay and would require less hours to help with my student schedule. What do I do if they offer me a job I want to work there since I believe I would do better there and enjoy myself more but I literally just got hired!!! Thanks in advance for the help guys

What a wonderful "problem" to have!

I believe if the credit union makes you an offer, you should tell them you need to give notice at your current job. Then speak to your boss at Giant, explaining that you have been offered an opportunity for higher pay and fewer hours. Most likely with a difference that large, Giant will not be able to match the offer, and if your boss is any kind of decent human being, will understand. Offer to stay for two weeks if that will help them, but if you just got hired, they probably will not want that, because they would just spend the time training you.

Be professional and courteous, and don't burn that bridge. Someday, Giant may hire you at a higher level.

It is not a problem. You just quit the present job, giving the required amount of notice. Having a job does not mean that you are stuck with working there forever.

If they offer you the job, take it and give 2 weeks notice to Giant.
