in 3DS majoras mask how can link throw a bomb?

I can't make link throw a bomb or a Decu Nut

Who can help me with this please

    Press the button you have assigned for the bomb once to pull it out and hold it over your head.

    To throw, you have to move in the direction you want to throw and press A while moving

    I have the big bomb bag with bombs in the gear section.

    I can't get it to go into the items section.I can't get the bombs out of the bag to through. Can anyone help?
