Can I use nose rings for ears?
I was considering buying 10mm surgical steel nose rings for the ears but was wondering if it is safe to do?

If it's an appropriate size and style, sure.
But keep in mind "surgical" steel is in fact just low quality steel. It's a made-up marketing term typically tacked onto low quality steel to make it seem more medical and therefore safe. The only grade of steel that is proven safe to wear IN the body is ASTM F-138 implant grade steel, which can be found at reputable piercing studios.
