If 2 million Muslims move to Germany that means that the total population of Germany will increase to 84 million, and the number of Muslims will become 6 million.

Between 7 and 8% of the population in other words (if they stay forever and do not return whenever the war in Syria finally comes to an end - admittedly not very likely in the foreseeable future).

As against 78 million who are not Muslims.

Meanwhile 38% of people in Germany now (approximately 31 million people) are either atheists or agnostics (for some reason getting a separate number for atheists and agnostics is not possible).

I have actually also been told that that 38% is actually lower than the real figure, that 49% is more accurate, and Germany's richest city, Hamburg, has a majority atheist population.

As Germany is getting stuck with most of the Syrian refugees as they are not particularly welcome anywhere else (maybe Austria, but that is a small country), the possibility of any Muslim "takeover" is most likely to occur there.

Given the above figures such a "takeover" is a very long way away.

The greater likelihood in the next few years is that non-believers will overtake the number of believers though, as they have a larger percentage of young people.
