Before trying to go straight to the equation, it helps to take a moment to name your variables. Decide "What is my x?" I would let x represent the second tower, since it doesn't have a lot of descriptions attached to it. Label the other two towers accordingly:
x is the second tower
x + 350 is the third tower
3( x + 350) is the first tower
Now making the equation is pretty easy; just add all three together and set equal to 3,000. Then refer back to where you named your variables to give all three answers. It would be a good idea to check your answers with the words to make sure your answers make the descriptions come true.
