Is it illegal to impersonate a priest or other religious official?

    Illegal? Not to my knowledge. Unethical? Very.

    On a side note, except for Halloween, I can think of very few occasions where one would impersonate a priest of religious official that would not involve illegal activity.

    To what end? If you impersonate a priest in order to defraud/mislead someone then this is illegal. Otherwise, I guess that it would depend on the laws of the country you are in. Certainly there are no such laws in the US but their could be in other countries,

    You mean pretend to have a connection with a supernatural force that loves us and needs money? Gee. What a scam that would be. I can't imagine anything so cynical. Shame on you.
