Are there any real absurd novels?

Has anyone written any completely absurd novels that mostly make no sense, though follow a storyline?

I'm talking real absurd, not just stupid comedy.

My favorite absurdist novel by a huge margin is Catch-22.

"The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman" by Laurence Sterne. Might not be exactly what you're after, but might be worth looking at.

Depending on how you define "absurd," there's always "Finnegans Wake." It makes very little sense on the surface, but lots of different kinds of sense just underneath.

Anything by Tom Sharpe. I especially liked "Wilt" and "Porterhouse Blue".
