are all handheld video stabilizers just as good as each other?

    I do lots of video. The best video stabilizer I've found is in my Canon IS lens. It gives me a steady cam look without all the extra gear as in a steady cam or hand held.

    Depends of the size of the camera. For large cameras, these all have customer reviews that you can read:

    For smaller cameras such the GoPro, there is the Tiffen Steadicam Smoothee (manual) and the Feiyu G4 (electronic).

    I would expect that some are better than others.

    Steadicam was the first.
